Summer Skincare Routine

Well the summer is a bit of a wash-out at the moment. But its still important to update your skin care routine to suit the time of year, including a higher spf to protect your skin from UVA and UVA rays, and lighter products instead of heavy moisturisers and lotions. So I thought I'd share my skincare routine for the summer time.

Cleanser - Nivea Soothing Cleansing Mousse, this is aimed at dry and sensitive skin, good to balance moisture in skin after winter, Its a nice light foaming cleansing and I use this with a muslin cloth to rinse it off.

Toner - Simple Soothing Facial Toner, next step to calm the skin after cleansing and help close the pores, I love Simple products too always good value.

Toner Water - Lush Tea Tree Water, I then spritz this over the face, it has anti-bacterial ingredients to help prevent spots and reduce those already on the skin.

Moisturiser - Simple Protecting Moisture Cream, this has an spf of 30 which is really good in a day moisturiser, others I've seen only have 15 or 20. This also looks a bit white when applied, but looks better when its had chance to sink in a bit and its ok under makeup.

Blemish Cream - La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo +, I use this on my t-zone to help clear up any spots and scarring.

Eye Cream - Yes To Carrots Moisturising Eye Cream, the last step an eye cream to hydrate the eye area, its also good before applying makeup and helps towards preventing creasing under the eye.

Brand Edit - Zara Home

Zara Home is one of my favourite places for interior decor pieces and inspiration. I love all the little details on their bed linen and cushions, their new collection definitely has Moroccan influences and includes deep purples, teals and yellow colours. Also the patterns on the textiles seem to  have a elephant theme cute! and the campaign look book is all about outdoor living which I love about summer time.

Here are some of my favourite items from the new campaign (1, 2, 3, 4, 5and my favourite photos from the look book are below.
