Gluten Free Chocolate Mug Cake

So this is my first baking post kinda. It is really just a super quick and simple mug cake recipe which is gluten free too! I find it great for when I'm just craving a good chocolate cake, but don't really want to bake a whole cake just for myself, and its quite satisfying because it's not overly sugary sweet either.

3 Tbsp of Oat or Coconut Flour
1.5 Tbsp of Cocoa Powder
1.5 Tbsp of Soft Dark Brown Sugar or Stevia
1 Tbsp of Coconut or Sunflower Oil
1 Tbsp of Honey
1/4 Tsp of Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
3 Tbsp of Milk

1. Add all dry ingredients to your mug, I used a 250ml mug for this, then mix together

2. Add the milk to the mix and combine well, making sure there aren't any lumps in the mixture.

3. Then microwave for 1 minute on the high setting for a melted middle, may need a bit longer depending on the wattage of your microwave

4. Enjoy warm with cream or any topping you like

Pixi - The Best of Bright Kit

Pixi Best of Bright kit £16.50 at QVC

Can't believe I haven't used a Pixi product before, especially the Glow Tonic which is a staple of a skincare routine for some. So to introduce myself to the range I picked up the Best of Bright kit, I bought it online from QVC along with the mega 500 ml Glow Tonic which the size is exclusive to QVC I think. Also the kit is a bit cheaper from them compared to other websites I looked at before purchasing. They have a lot of other skincare brands such as Liz Earle and First Aid Beauty too.

The kit contains mini versions of the glycolic exfoliating toner, the mud cleanser and the mud purifying mask. My skin had being playing up after exam time so I really needed brightening up. The actual products are a bit smaller than I expected when ordering but are perfect travel size for a little pamper on a weekend away. Also I can refill the little glow tonic too as and when I need for travelling.

Glow Tonic

This helps to even out skintone, to give a brighter and more smooth looking appearance to skin. This has 5% glycolic acid to help exfoliate. Use with a cotton pad to sweep across the face and neck, after cleansing first. It also contains witch hazel and ginseng which have kept my skin looking refreshed. I use this around three times on a evening a week because I don't want to over exfoliate and dry out my skin, so it is already part of my routine and will definitely continue to use this as I have the 500 ml pump too.
A good spf is needed after this as it makes the skin more sensitive to the sun, but you should use one everyday anyway :-).

Glow Mud Cleanser

This also has 5% glycolic acid, to exfoliate and help skin to look fresher. This really helped to clear up my skin quicker after it was playing up, as it detoxifies and deep cleanses the face and pores. Although it is still gentle on the skin and is easy to wash off after massaging in.

 Glow Mud Mask

It says to used this mask two to three times a week, however I have only used it a couple of times as a treat for my skin. It has left my skin looking much brighten and again it was good for clearing my skin. It is also gives pores a good deep cleanse. I found it quite difficult to wash off even with a sponge, but I don't know if I applied it on too thickly or if it was because of how the mud in it dried on my skin. But I would say I will still continue to use it.

So overall I will repurchase the kit for travel as I love to use mini products when I'm away. Also I would probably get the full-sized versions of each to use more regularly and fit into my current skincare routine.

Hope you've had a good week, and let me know if you like these kinds of longer posts for the future xxx
